Maine Attraction wins Eastern Regionals

The 39th Eastern Regional Tournament kicked off Saturday with 45 individuals and 4 teams, concluding with a victory for Maine Attraction. With just shy of 1400 points, the team also took home awards for highest scoring Dock and Equipment, Production, and Showmanship with their Water Skiing with the Stars show. Oxbow Ski Show Team took home highest scoring pick-up boat crew and sound announcing, while highest scoring tow boat driving went to host team Electric City.
In a major comeback from a devastating injury just shy of 1 year ago, Maine Attraction’s Pete Hegarty rocked the men’s freestyle jump competition, throwing a back half and front half securing 1st place. Abby Evers from Nipmuc was the sole female jumper and Oxbow Flyers took 1st place in team jump.Kendra Payne and Courtney Payne took 1st place in swivel pairs and 1st place for open swivel went to Aubrianna Payeur. Lauren Sheldon and Jocelyn Peck earned 1st place titles for swivel 360 and 180 respectively. Rachel Comins and Chris Parisi won doubles.
