Adaptive water skier

The goal of the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Veteran Athlete Equipment Grant is to remove some of the obstacles that prevent veteran athletes with disabilities from experiencing water skiing as a recreational and competitive activity.

As a part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Adaptive Sports Grant, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports (USA-WSWS) will be awarding a minimum of 10 veteran adaptive water ski athletes funding to purchase relevant 3-event competition adaptive water-ski equipment up to a $9,500 value for participation.

Eligible athletes:

1. Must be a member of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports (USA Adaptive Water Ski & Wake Sports (USA-AWSWS) is part of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports). If you are not a member, you can join here! https://members.usawaterski.org/memberregistration
2. Must have a physical impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a record of such an impairment or is regarded as having such an impairment.
3. Must be a Veteran and/or a member of the Armed Forces.
4. Must be able to demonstrate an interest and/or capability to competitively adaptive water ski.

Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis through July 31, 2022.
