Smith Wins Slalom Title At Stillwaters Pro Team Challenge

Nate Smith defeated Jon Travers in the men's slalom head-to-head final.

U.S. water ski athlete Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.) won the men’s slalom title on Sunday at the 2021 Stillwaters Pro Team Challenge in Oconomowoc, Wis. Smith defeated fellow U.S. athlete Jon Travers (Groveland, Fla.) in the head-to-head final, scoring 6 buoys at 41 feet off to Travers’ 4-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off.

Canada’s Jaimee Bull won the women’s slalom title, defeating fellow Canadian athlete Whitney McClintock-Rini in the head-to-head final, scoring 1 buoy at 41 feet off to McClintock-Rini’s 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off.

In other events, Belarus’ Hanna Straltsova won women’s jumping (166 feet) and Great Britain’s Jack Critchley won men’s jumping (207 feet).
