U.S. Water Ski Teams Sweep Can Am Challenge Titles

The U.S. Under 17 and Under 14 Can An Am Water Ski Teams.
The U.S. Under 17 and Under 14 Water Ski Teams swept the team titles at the 11th Can Am Challenge, Aug. 28-29, 2021, at Skyview Lake in Harmony, N.C. The event featured athletes from the United States and Canada competing for team titles only. The AWSA’s IAC chose the U.S. teams based upon a pre-approved selection criteria. A six-member Under 17 Team and a six-member Under 14 Team represented each country.
Members of the 2021 U.S. Under 14 Can Am Water Ski Team were: BG Bickley (Macon, Ga.), Bennett Covington (Martindale, Texas), Claire Covington (Martindale, Texas), Cameron Davis (Oviedo, Fla.), Julie Mishler (Milford, Ind.) and Camryn Waters (Lady Lake, Fla.). Alternates to the team were: Freddy Davis (Oviedo, Fla.) and RJ Teter (Cumming, Ga.).
The U.S. Under 14 Water Ski Team tallied 8,210.70 points to Canada’s 6,895.80 points. Team scores were based on the top-three team members’ overall scores for each of the three events (slalom, tricks and jumping).
Members of the 2021 U.S. Under 17 Can Am Water Ski Team were: Will Blair (Mooresville, N.C.), Elizabeth Hall (Newnan, Ga.), Samantha Hoops (Coatesville, Ind.), Gage Kacprowicz (San Antonio, Texas), Chase Sparks (Dallas, Ga.) and Connor Walsh (Lakeland, Fla.). Alternate to the team was Wesley Blair (Mooresville, N.C.).
The U.S. Under 17 Water Ski Team tallied 8,110.30 points to Canada’s 6,487.10 points. Team scores were based on the top-three team members’ overall scores for each of the three events (slalom, tricks and jumping).
