As the best skiers in the world battled in slalom and jump events, the crowd and TWBC webcast viewers witnessed some big-time scores during the 2025 MasterCraft Pro on October 19-20 at Isles of Lake Hancock outside Orlando, Florida.

Women's Slalom:

Regina Jaquess carved her way deep into the line, posting a massive 3 buoys at 10.25m (41off) in the first round, putting her in the number one spot heading into round two. Behind her in round one, Jamie Bull and Ali Garcia both threw down some big scores of 3 buoys at 10.75m (39.5off), tying for that number 2 spot, and Allie Nicholson and Whitney Rini tied for the third place spot with 2.5 buoys at 10.75m (39off). With only six of the eight ladies who would be making their way into the finals, they wanted to set those big scores in round one to relieve some pressure for the weekend.

These ladies didn't stop the pressure there, though. In the finals, every skier made it through the 11.25m (38off) line length, meaning they would have to lay it all out on the line at 10.75m (39off). Whitney Rini and Allie Nicholson both earned a score of 3 buoys at 10.75m (39off), tying, which they have done in every round. However, since Allie was the higher seed, that put her ahead of Whitney in placement, which ultimately earned Allie that number 3 spot on the podium. Jamie Bull, seeded number two, goes out and powers through the 10.75m (39off) and gets half a buoy at 10.25m (41off). Though this is a strong score and put her in the lead, it left the door open for top seed Regina Jaquess. Regina then proceeded to show her experience and veteran status in the sport, earning 1 buoy at 10.25m (41off), claiming the 2025 Mastercraft Pro title, and the top spot on the podium.

Men's Slalom:

Nate Smith showed the men's field that he wasn't here to mess around, being the only men's skier in the first round to make it through the 10.25m (41off) line length and secure a 1 at 9.75m (43off), proving he meant business this weekend. With 14 of the 20 skiers making it through the 10.75m (39off) in the first round, these gentlemen had their work cut out for them over the next two days.

With the top eight skiers making it into the finals, we knew it would be a tight race with some big scores going down in the books. Charlie Ross, who was seeded number 3, set the bar very high for the top two seeds by running 10.25m (41off) and getting a full 1 at 9.75m (43off). Dane Mechler, who earned himself the second seed spot, had his work cut out for him. With his performance in the second round, earning 5 buoys at 10.25m (41off), he proved that he was capable and just shy of being able to challenge that lead. Not getting the start he wanted in the finals, he earned himself a 4 at 10.25m (41off), putting him no worse than third on the podium. Though he wasn't able to defend his title from the 2024 MasterCraft Pro, he proved with his consistency that he is here to put on the pressure and knock on the door of more top podium finishes. With Nate Smith being the number one seed, tensions were high as many know how consistent Nate is with running that 10.25m (41off) line length, and that he did. He cruised through 10.25m (41off) and tied Charlie with a score of 1 buoy at 9.75m (43off), prompting a run off between the two.

For the run off, both Nate and Charlie would go off the dock at 10.25m (41off), drawing at random for who would hit the water first. Charlie drew to go off first and earned himself 2 buoys. Disappointed and wanting more, it left the door open for Nate, or so we thought. Nate went out and tied Charlie again, prompting a SECOND runoff. This time, Nate took to the water first and lost the handle around 3, giving him a score of 2.5 buoys at 10.25m (41off). Charlie took to the water second and received a score of 1 at 10.25m (41off), earning him the second spot on the podium and giving Nate Smith the 2025 MasterCraft Pro title. Nonetheless, these two put on one heck of a show for those watching, proving they both deserve to be there at the top.

Jump Finals:

The Grande Finale of the 2025 MasterCraft Pro came down to the jump ramp. With eight total ladies, only four of them would make it through to the finals. Competing in the slalom event earlier that day, Regina Jaquess took that 4th place spot with a distance of 52.8m (173ft). Aliaksandra Danisheuskaya, as the 4th seed, went out and booted a 55.1m (181ft) jump, setting the bar high for the following competitors and ultimately earning her that number 2 spot on the podium. The number two seed Hanna Straltsova had a very respectable 53.6m (176ft) jump number two leaving some space between her and the lead. As she was on her counter cut for her last jump, they had some sort of technical issue and ultimately stopped the boat. After a couple of minutes, they brought her back in for her third and final jump, where she saved the best for last, with a distance of 56.5m (185ft), ultimately giving her the lead with the number one seed Brittany Wharton left on the dock. As Brittany took to the water, she wasn't a fan of her first approach, which led her to pass on her first jump, leaving two chances to earn a spot on the podium. Not quite getting the distance she may have wanted, Brittany worked her way into third place with a very respectable distance of 54.7m (179ft), making Hanna Straltsova the 2025 MasterCraft Pro Women's Jump Champion.

Last but certainly not least, to round out the jump finale we had six men who pushed the limits, with every one of them jumping a distance of 200 plus feet. Benjamin Leutz took 6th place with a distance of 62.0m (203ft). Emile Ritter, pushing that distance out just a little further, had a furthest jump of 62.7m (206ft). 6th seed Dorian Llewellyn found himself a 4th place spot with a jump of 64.3m (211ft), leaving the top 3 seeds to battle it out. Number 3 seed Joel Poland set the bar pretty high on jump number three with a distance of 70.6m (232ft), giving the top 2 jumpers a big score to chase. Jack Critchley and Ryan Dodd both jumped 70.6m (2323ft) in round one, so it's not said and done for Joel Just yet. Jack Critchley was heading in the right direction, gaining distance each jump; however, on his last jump, he snapped a jump ski, leading to his furthest jump being 68.8m (226ft), putting him in second place with one skier left. Ryan Dodd, very capable of pushing that 232ft jump from Joel, just didn't quite get the setup and distance he wanted, leaving him with a furthest jump of 69.1m (227ft), putting himself just ahead of Chritchley, earning him the second spot on the podium, crowning Joel Poland as the 2025 MasterCraft Pro Men's Jump Champion.
