Both of my parents were ski racing before they even got together, so water skiing has always been a part of my life. My passion for the sport has always been there because it's always been a part of my family.

My most meaningful memory is probably the 2009 World Championships. It was a surprisingly successful week for me. I didn't go in with big expectations, and I did a lot better than I was expecting. It was my first World Championships in the Formula 2 Division Men's Race. I was super happy to be there and feel like I could compete. I developed into a better skier and exceeded my expectations.

In general, competing in water skiing has helped me develop into a more well-rounded person because I have to put in the effort to get the results I want. It taught me how to work towards goals and stay motivated. I've been lucky enough to compete internationally and develop friendships all over the world. I've seen places I never would have been able to see otherwise. I've been to New Zealand, Australia, England, Belgium, Austria, and France. I've been able to compete in six World Championships, and I've been to a number of U.S. Championships throughout the years. I've been competing since 1999, and I wasn't a child prodigy skier, but I hit my stride as I got older, and now I have a slew of U.S. Open titles and podiums.

I am Cameron King. I am a water ski racer. And #WeAreWaterSki.
