U.S. water ski athlete Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.) won the pro women’s tricks title at the 2024 BOTASKI Pro-Am, June 28-30, at the Sesena Water Ski Complex in Sesena, Toledo, Spain. Some of the world’s top professional slalom and tricks skiers competed in the tournament.
Lang scored 10,600 points in the finals to secure the victory over Canada’s Neilly Ross (10,160 points). Ann Hunter (Winter Garden, Fla.) placed third (10,020 points) and Alexia Abelson (Holderness, N.H.) finished fifth (8,370 points).
Chile’s Martin Labra won pro men’s tricks, scoring 12,490 points in the finals. Jake Abelson (Holderness, N.H.) placed sixth (8,630 points).
Canada’s Jaimee Bull won pro women’s slalom, defeating Allie Nicholson (Gallatin, Tenn.) in the head-to-head final. Bull scored 6 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off to Nicholson’s 2 at 39-1/2 off.
Great Britain’s Robert Hazelwood won the pro men’s slalom title, defeating fellow countryman Will Asher in the head-to-head final. Hazelwood scored 1 at 38 off to Asher’s ½ at 38 off.
