by USA Water Ski & Wake Sports

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a 2023 NGB DE&I Choice Award from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. USA Water & Wake Sports’ submission of the DE&I initiative – “Veterans Adaptive Learn To Water Ski Program” – received the most votes among National Governing Body representatives for the under-$10 million annual revenue category. The award, which recognizes excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion, was presented at the TEAMS ’23 Conference, Oct. 2-5, in West Palm Beach, Fla. It is the second consecutive year that USA Water Ski & Wake Sports has won the award. In addition to the award, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports will receive a $5,000 grant from the USOPC to help support the initiative.

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports hosted several Learn to Ski Clinics this past summer for veterans and individuals with disabilities. The 2023 Adaptive Learn To Ski Program, presented by S-Lines, took place at sites in California, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia.

The goal of the clinics was to provide individuals the opportunity to improve their independence, well-being, and quality of life through adaptive water skiing. Each clinic host was prepared to welcome veterans and individuals with various disabilities, including spinal cord injuries, limb loss, vision impairment, and PTSD for a fun and safe day out on the water. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports looks forward to growing and expanding the program in 2024.
