Erika Lang set a pending world tricks record of 11,360 points on May 19 at the Sunset Cup-MLCQ.
U.S. water ski athlete Erika Lang set a pending women’s world tricks record of 11,360 points on May 19 at the 2023 Sunset Cup-MLCQ at Jack Travers’ International Tournament Skiing and Sunset Lakes in Groveland, Fla.
If approved by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation’s Tournament Council, the score will eclipse Lang’s current world record of 11,260 points set in October 2019.
Mexico’s Patricio Font also set a pending men’s world tricks record of 12,690 points at the Masters Qualifying Series 1, May 12-14, at Lake Ledbetter in Winter Garden, Fla. If approved by the IWWF’s Tournament Council, the score will eclipse Font’s current world record of 12,590 points set in October 2022.
