Jaquess, Smith Win Titles At 2023 Swiss Pro Slalom

Regina Jaquess won the 2023 Swiss Pro Slalom.

U.S. water ski athletes Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) and Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.) won respective slalom titles at the 2023 Swiss Pro Slalom on May 7 at the Swiss Waterski Resort in Clermont, Fla. The tournament featured some of the world’s top professional slalom skiers.

Jaquess won women’s slalom, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet off in the finals. Canada’s Whitney McClintock (1-1/4 buoys at 41 feet off) and Jaimee Bull (2-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off) placed second and third, respectively.

Smith won men’s slalom, scoring 4 buoys at 41 feet off in the finals. Great Britain’s Frederick Winter (3-1/2 buoys at 41 feet off) and Robert Hazelwood (3 buoys at 41 feet off) placed second and third, respectively.
