Rock Aqua Jays Win Wisconsin State Show Ski Championships

The Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show Team (Janesville, Wis.) won the coveted Division 1 team title at the 2023 Wisconsin State Show Ski Championships, July 20-23, at Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids.

The Rock Aqua Jays earned high-scoring awards for towboat driving, high individual club act, ballet, barefoot, doubles, pyramid, and swivel in tallying a grand total 1,929.46 points. The Mad-City Ski Team (Madison, Wis.) placed second, scoring a grand total 1,850.18 points after earning high-scoring awards for dock and equipment personnel, pick-up boat crews, showmanship, sound crew total, production, and overall show. The Aquanuts (Twin Lakes, Wis.) finished third with 1,736.18 points.

The Muskego Water Bugs (Muskego, Wis.) won Division 2 and Southern Wakes United Water Ski Show Team (Whitewater, Wis.) won Division 3.

The Wisconsin State Show Ski Championships also included individual competition in swivel, doubles, team jump, pairs swivel and freestyle jump.
