Two U.S. Athletes Earn Placements At IWWF Cable Wakeboard Worlds

U.S. athletes Preston Persichetti (Orlando, Fla.) and Cathy Williams (Orlando, Fla.) advanced to respective division finals at the 2022 SINGHA IWWF World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships, Nov. 1-6, at ESC Thai Wake Park in Rangsit, Thailand. More than 250 riders from 30 countries competed for IWWF individual and team titles.

Persichetti placed fourth in U14 Boys wakeboard, scoring 39.67 points in the finals. Williams placed fifth in +40 Veteran Ladies wakeboard, scoring 38.33 points in the finals.

The 2022 SINGHA IWWF World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships was organized by the Thailand Extreme Sports Association (TESA) and was originally scheduled to be held in 2020 but was postponed to 2022 due to the global pandemic.
