Backwater Gamblers Win NSSA Central Regionals

The Backwater Gamblers (Rock Island, Ill.) won the National Show Ski Association’s 2022 Central Regional Show Ski Championships, July 9-10, in Rock Island, Ill.

The Backwater Gamblers earned high-scoring awards for Dock & Equipment Personnel, Towboat Driving, Showmanship, Sound Crew Total, Overall Show, and Ballet in tallying a grand total score of 1,669.33 points. Wonder Lake (Wonder Lake, Ill.) finished second with 1,643.87 points, followed by the Arch Rivals (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) with 1,074.43 points and the Lake City Skiers (Warsaw, Ind.) with 1,054.33 points.
