U.S. Athletes Win Titles At MasterCraft Pro

U.S. athlete Freddy Krueger won the men's jumping title at the 2021 MasterCraft Pro.
U.S. water ski athletes Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.), Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.) won titles in respective events on Saturday at the 2021 MasterCraft Pro, presented by Action Water Sports, at Action Water Sports of Central Florida in Polk City, Fla. Some of the world’s top men’s and women’s water ski athletes competed in slalom and jumping at the two-day cash-prize tournament.
Jaquess won the women’s slalom title, scoring 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off. France’s Manon Costard placed second (2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off) and U.S. athlete Karen Truelove (Winter Garden, Fla.) finished third (4 buoys at 38 feet off).
Krueger won the men’s jumping title on his opening jump with 226 feet. U.S. athlete Taylor Garcia (Winter Garden, Fla.) placed second (223 feet) and Great Britain’s Joel Poland finished third (220 feet).
Smith won the men’s slalom title, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet in the finals. Great Britain’s Will Asher and Italy’s Thomas Degasperi tied for second (1 buoy at 41 feet off), followed by Great Britain’s Freddie Winter (1/2 buoy at 41 feet off) in fourth place.
Australia’s Jacinta Carroll won the women’s jumping title with a distance of 197 feet. Belarus’ Aliaksandra Danisheuskaya finished second (181 feet) and U.S. athlete Brittany Greenwood (Little Rock, Ark.) placed third (174 feet).
