IWWF Wakeboard Worlds Postponed To 2022
by USA Water Ski & Wake Sports
The IWWF and organizers, the Italian Waterski & Wakeboard Federation, have made the decision to postpone the 2021 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships to July 2022. This decision was made in consultation with the IWWF President, IWWF European Confederation President, IWWF World Wakeboard Council and IWWF Medical Committee. With the global pandemic still affecting international travel, which will impact participation significantly, and the uncertainties of organizing an event in three months time, it was decided that postponing the event to July 2022 is the best course of action.
Riders will compete for IWWF World titles in 10 age-group categories for both men and women (14 & Under, 18 & Under, 30 & Over, 40 & Over and Open) and team overall title.
The IWWF World Wakeboard Championships was last held in Italy in 2011 and Team Italy last won the team overall title in 2015.
