D2 Show Ski Nationals’ Entry Forms Available

The official entry forms for the 2016 Division 2 Show Ski National Championships are now available to download from the Show Skiing Web page on the USA Water Ski Web site. The Division 2 Show Ski National Championships will be held Aug. 5-7 in Warsaw, Ind.

D1 Show Ski Nationals' Entry Forms Available

The Aquanuts of Twin Lakes, Wis., are the defending Division 1 Show Ski National Champions.The official entry forms for the 2016 Division 1 Show Ski National Championships are now available to download from the Show Skiing page on the USA Water Ski website. The Division 1 Show Ski National Championships will be held Aug. 12-14 at Traxler Park in Janesville, Wis.

NSSA Announces 2016 Logo Contest

Current NSSA LogoThe National Show Ski Association has assembled a Logo Design Committee and has launched a contest that will run through the summer to have its members create the next NSSA logo. To help the NSSA move into the future of show skiing, it is looking to its members to get creative and design a logo that best represents show skiing.

LeDoux Wins All American Tournament

Photography by Lynn Novakofski.Jac LeDoux of Winter Haven, Fla., won the Swivel Open title on Sunday at the 2016 All American Show Ski Tournament on Lake Silver in Winter Haven, Fla. The two-day tournament has been a staple of the Cypress Gardens legacy since 1946. Originally known as the "Dixie," a three-event water ski tournament, the competition has evolved over the years to the show skiing acts Cypress Gardens was known for such as swivel, doubles, freestyle jumping and barefoot endurance.

NSSA Offering Annual Team/Region Grants

The National Show Ski Association offers annual grants – up to $1,000 per grant – to NSSA Teams and Regions for 1.) Learn to Ski events; 2.) Safety Clinics; and 3.) Drivers Testing Clinics. All of these are aimed at increasing membership for NSSA and USA Water Ski. The NSSA does not cover "acts" clinics or other events that do not follow the guidelines posted in the Grants section of the NSSA Policies and Procedures (PDF).

Aqua Skiers To Host 2016 World Tournament

The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation has announced that the 2016 IWWF World Show Ski Tournament will take place at Red Sands Beach on Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. The Aqua Skiers ski club will host the third biennial event, Sept. 10-11, 2016. Opening ceremonies will take place on Friday, Sept. 9.
