Seven Athletes Win Titles at USA Adaptive National Championships

Seven athletes won national titles at the 28th USA Adaptive Water Ski National Championships & Team Trials, presented by The Barbara Bolding/Jim Grew Fund.  The event was held on August 14-16, in conjunction with the Goode National Water Ski Championships in Center City, MN. The USA Adaptive Nationals featured the United States’ top adaptive water ski athletes competing for national titles in slalom, tricks, jump and overall. 

There were three divisions– Seated, Standing and Vision Impaired. Event winners were based on a two-round total of overall points compared to respective world records as of Jan. 1, 2026. Overall winners were based on the overall points from the best of either round as compared to the respective world as of Jan. 1, 2026.

Athletes earning national titles in the Seated Men’s division were Chuck Wesson of Charlotte, NC (slalom and overall), Noah Smith of Athens, GA (tricks) and Zak Jones of Shelby, NC (jump). Smith also set pending world tricks records of 1080 (round one) and 1000 (round two).  In Standing Men’s, Craig Timm of Center City, MN (slalom, jump and overall), and Cam Delligatti of Chattanooga, TN (tricks). Mike Royal of Magnolia, Texas won Vision Impaired Men slalom and tricks.

Katie Mawby of Grand Haven, MI won titles in Vision Impaired Women slalom and tricks.  Mawby also set pending world tricks records of 990 (round one) and 1160 (round two).
