Team USA Blog: Up 486 Heading Into Finals

Another amazing day for the team going a perfect 6-for-6 in jumping. Alex, Regina, Lauren, Scot, Zack and Freddy all made it into the jumping finals. The U.S. Team had a dream prelims as things are looking great as we head into the weekend finals. Finals in slalom and tricks are Saturday.

Team USA Blog: U.S. Keeps It Rolling

It's not usual that the U.S. wins tricks, but today we did. The women went 3-for-3 into the finals. Erika Lang landed the top seed with a huge 9,780 points. Regina Jaquess backed it up with a 8,170 points and Alex Lauretano tricked 7,780 points.

Big start for us today. Erika Lang started it off getting us the third slalom score we needed with 1@38. Then Regina and Nate scored some huge team points. The goal on the dock today was to get the team points, then they could worry about the individual gold this weekend.

Team USA Blog: Time to Compete!

Team USA had a great day of practice pulling off 8 ski rides in 30 minutes. 4 down and backs in trick, 3 full jump sets, and 1 set of 4 slalom passes, it was great teamwork. The first 2 days of practice the team skied OK, but today everyone nailed their sets and the team is feeling really good as they enter competition Tuesday.

Practice is going well for Team USA. We practiced Saturday and had another good day of practice today. We'll get in another 30 minutes on Monday morning and then it's tournament time with prelims beginning Tuesday.

Team USA Blog: U.S. Prepares for Worlds

Editor's Note: U.S. Elite Water Ski Team coach Jeff Surdej will be providing reports throughout next week's Water Ski World Championships in San Bernardo, Chile. Here is report No. 1: In one week Team USA will begin its quest for the Gold Medal in Chile. Team member Scot Ellis has already flown down to train and teammates Adam Pickos and Regina Jaquess are there now getting in some early sets. Erika Lang, Nate Smith and Alex Lauretano will join the team this weekend as they begin team practice Saturday.
