ASU Wins Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals

The Arizona State University wakeboard team won the national title at the 14th Collegiate Wakeboard National Championships, May 30-June 1, on the Red River in Shreveport, La. The Sun Devils tallied 570 points in winning over runner-up Florida (390 points) and third-place Tennessee (355 points). Twelve teams competed in the event.

Riders Needed For Cable Wakeboard Team

USA Wakeboard, a sport discipline organization of USA Water Ski, will be fielding a team to compete in the 2014 IWWF Cable Wakeboard World Championships, Aug. 10-16, in Sauherad, Telemark, Norway. The event will take place at the Norsjo Cable Park in Sauherad. USA Wakeboard is now accepting applications for those interested in being selected to participate in the event. U.S. Wakeboard Team Earns Silver Medal

The U.S. Wakeboard Team earned the silver medal and four U.S. team members earned individual medals at the 10th IWWF Wakeboard World Championships, Aug. 28-Sept. 1, in Busan, Korea. The event included athletes and teams from 28 countries. Australia won the gold medal, while Korea earned the bronze medal.
