Additional Information: Camp Med-O-Lark , an arts camp in Washington, Maine, is looking for summer counselors with a boat license and experience with water skiing activities. We are a co-ed overnight summer camp for children ages 8-16 in Washington, Maine. We offer the campers an array of all elective arts-based programs which the staff help instruct/supervise. We are located on a lake and have swimming and boating activities offered as well. The camp has been in business since 1967. Our session dates this summer are from June 13 - Aug. 17. This position would be a cabin counselor role which would include living in a cabin with campers and having night activity responsibilities, along with a generous time off schedule. Room and board (including vegetarian, not vegan, choices) included. Only non-smokers need apply. This is a summer job that is loads of fun, gives you the opportunity to meet others from all over the world (both counselor and camper), and allows you to teach what you love to do! We are currently looking for a boat driver to work in our water ski program. This would involve teaching up to five one-hour classes a day of approximately five campers with an assistant. We have four dedicated ski boats that we use to teach waterskiing, knee and wakeboarding and tubing. We are also equipped to teach barefoot skiing. We are looking for someone who is proficient with using some or all of these skills and preferable has experience teaching. Some form of boat driver/safety certification is also required. If you feel you have the skills needed and like working with children it can be a very rewarding summer!
