Nationals' LCQ By Score Revised
According to the American Water Skin Association’s Rulebook, Last Chance Qualification (LCQ) by score for the 2010 GOODE Water Ski National Championships can only be achieved at a Class E, L or R tournament. However, when the parameters for LCQ by score were set this year in the national rankings list, they were inadvertently set to allow Class C scores to be used as well. For this reason, the AWSA Executive Committee has voted to allow the parameters as they are currently set in the rankings list to stand for this year.
This means that a skier who did not qualify by virtue of their ranking could qualify by achieving a score equal to or greater than the Level 8 Cut Off Average for his or her respective event and division at a Class C, E, L or R tournament between the Cut-off Date, which was July 15, 2010, and the first day of Nationals.
For more information on how to qualify for the Nationals, please see rule 4 of the AWSA Rulebook (PDF). To find out if you’re currently qualified, visit the rankings list at www.USAWATERSKI.org, select your division/event, select “2010 GOODE National Champs” in the event qualifications filter at the top of the rankings display, and click “Display Rankings.” Your qualification status will then display in the far right-hand column of the rankings next to your name. For further details on your qualification status, simply click on the qualification status next to your name.
