NSSA's Central Regionals Cancelled

The National Show Ski Associationís Central Region voted Monday night to cancel its 2020 Central Regional Show Ski Tournament in Loves Park, Ill., due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was announced earlier in the day that the Ski Broncs (LOC), due to Illinois State guidelines and the likelihood that these guidelines will remain highly restrictive, had reluctantly withdrawn its intent to host the 2020 Indmar Division 1 Show Ski National Championships, presented by Polk County Sports Marketing & Tourism.

Although disappointed, the NSSA completely understands and respect this decision. The NSSA still expects to hold both the Division 1 and Division 2 national tournaments this season and will make a definitive announcement on July 1 (pending unforeseeable developments).

The NSSAís Ad Hoc Covid -19 Committee is currently working with three other potential LOCs that turned in bids to host the 2020 D1 Show Ski Nationals. More information will follow as we work to identify an alternate site. The D2 Show Ski Nationals remains scheduled in Warsaw, Ind., with the Lake City Skiers serving as the LOC.
