Six Athletes Win Americaís Cup Titles

Six athletes won titles in respective events on Tuesday night at the second annual Americaís Cup Invitational at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla. U.S. athletes ranked Level 9 and above in Open were invited to compete in the Americaís Cup Invitational. The Open divisions at the 77th GOODE Water Ski National Championships served as the qualification round for the Americaís Cup.

Jonathan Travers (Groveland, Fla.) won menís slalom, scoring Ĺ buoy at 41 feet off; Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) won womenís slalom, scoring 2-1/2 buoys at 41 feet off and overall, scoring 2,758.20 points; Dylan Schaffer (Owens Cross Roads, Ala.) won menís tricks, scoring 8,020 points; Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.) won womenís tricks, scoring 10,400 points; Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.) won menís jumping with a distance of 212 feet; and Lauren Morgan (Renton, Wash.) won womenís jumping with a distance of 163 feet.
