Bulletin 1 Available For Wakeboard Worlds

Bulletin No. 1 for the 13th IWWF Wakeboard World Championships is now available to view and download. The tournament will be held Nov. 19-23 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. To view and download Bulletin No. 1, click here.

Divisions for competition at the Wakeboard World Championships are as follows (all ages taken as of Jan. 1, 2019): Boys/Girls (14 and Under): Junior Men/Junior Women (18 and Under); Masters Men/Masters Women (30 Years and Over); Veteran Men (40 Years and Over); and Open Men/Open Women (Open). Riders are scored on Composition, Intensity and Execution.

Members of the 2019 U.S. Wakeboard Team are: Alex Albin (Discovery Bay, Calif.), 14 Under Boys; Dayle Cartwright (Naples, Fla.), Veteran Men; Meagan Ethell (Orlando, Fla.), Open Women; Adam Fields (Littleton, N.C.), Masters Men; Tyler Higham (Orlando, Fla.), Open Men; Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.), Open Women; Chad Lowe (Sebastopol, Calif.), Veteran Men; Guenther Oka (Cincinnati, Ohio), Open Men; and Cathy Williams (Orlando, Fla.), Veteran Women.

Riders competing as U.S, independents will be: Danny Thollander (Winter Park, Fla.), Open Men; Tarah Mikacich (Orlando, Fla.), Open Women; and Jamie Lopina (Orlando, Fla.), Open Women.

The United States won world team titles in 2004, 2005 and 2011; Australia won team titles in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2013 and 2018; South Africa won the team title in 2001; and Italy won the team title in 2015.
