U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team Selected

Anna Gay, ranked No. 1 in the world in U21 womenís overall, was one of six athletes selected to the 2019 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team.USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce the selection of the 2019 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team. The six-member team, selected by the American Water Ski Associationís International Activities Committee, will compete in the 9th Under 21 Water Ski World Championships, July 4-7, at Shalom Park in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Athletes selected to the 2019 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team were (alphabetical order): Brooke Baldwin (Winter Garden, Fla.), Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.), Quinn Haines (Avon, Conn.), Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.), Sean Hunter (Dothan, Ala.) and Ben Leutz (Jacksonville, Ill.). Erin Kalkbrenner (Wichita, Kan.) will be the team coach/manager.

The team members were selected based on a performance criteria established by the International Activities Committee and approved by the American Water Ski Association board of directors.

The 2017 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team earned the overall team silver medal and five U.S. water ski athletes combined to win seven medals, including four gold, in respective events at the 2017 Under 21 Water Ski World Championships in Dnipro, Ukraine.

The United States has won the Under 21 world team title in 2003, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015. France won in 2007 and Canada won in 2017.
