Canada's Dodd Wins Action Pro Night Jump

Photography by Lynn Novakofski.Canada’s Ryan Dodd won the 2018 Action Pro Night Jump on Monday at Action Water Sports’ Lake Grew in Polk City, Fla. The tournament featured some of the world’s top men’s jumpers competing for a total cash-prize purse of $20,000. The tournament was held in conjunction with the Action Water Sports Central Florida Grand Opening.

Round one included 17 athletes with the top-four advancing to the finals. The top-two then advanced to a two-jump head-to-head finale. Dodd defeated U.S. athlete Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.) in the head-to-head finale, soaring 225 feet to Krueger’s 221 feet. Great Britain’s Jack Critchley and Chile’s Rodrigo Miranda rounded out the top-four placements.
