Canada’s Miller Wins Big Dawg No. 1

Canada's David Miller won the first stop of the 2018 Nautique Big Dawg World Tour, presented by O'Brien, on Sunday at the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla. Now in its 13th season, the Big Dawg World Tour includes four qualifying stops around the globe at premier water ski venues as the top 34-mph slalom skiers who are 35+ battle it out for a spot in the Big Dawg World Tour Finals. Miller defeated U.S. athlete Greg Badal (Brentwood, Calif.) in the head-to-head final, scoring 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off to Badal’s 2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off.

Each stop includes two rounds of 34-mph slalom action, followed by a bracketed 16-skier head-to-head finale. Miller defeated Great Britain's Jodi Fisher, Austria's Harold Hintringer and U.S. athlete Greg Sund before facing Badal in the finals.
