Executive Director Announces Retirement

After eight years with the organization, Bob Crowley announced at the January Board of Directors meeting that he will retire from the executive director position with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports in July of this summer. He will stay with the organization while the replacement search is underway and will be available for transition assistance and support.

Bob CrowleyIn his eight years, he brought fresh ideas to the headquarters’ staff and oversaw the launch of Life on the Water campaigns, Membership Task Force initiatives, and other programs designed to bring new enthusiasm to the water sports community. He has maintained a solid relationship with the United States Olympic Committee, International Water Ski & Wakeboard Federation and the Water Sports Industry Association. Financial stability and consistency has been a primary focus throughout his tenure. The SafeSport initiative for USA Water Ski has benefited from his guidance and leadership. Much of the groundwork has been laid to pave the way for future growth for USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.

Bob says he looks forward to finding more time to water ski with his ageless coach, Bill Wenner, and to spend more time traveling back to Montana for snow skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
