NCWSA Approves Two New Records

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association has approved the two pending national collegiate records that were set at the 39th Connelly Skis Collegiate Water Ski National Championships, Oct. 19-21, at Bennett’s Water Ski & Wakeboard School in Zachary, La.

Louisiana-Monroe's Hanna Straltsova’s (Belarus) winning women's jumping distance of 159 feet was approved, and it surpasses the 157-foot mark set by U.S. athlete Lauren Morgan at the same site during the 2011 Collegiate Nationals. Rollins College's Erika Lang's (Gilbert, Ariz.) winning women's tricks score of 6,110 points also was approved, and it surpasses the mark of 5,960 points set by Lang at the 2015 Collegiate Nationals in Cypress, Texas.
