Can Am Challenge Teams Selected

USA Water Ski and the American Water Ski Association’s International Activities Committee are pleased to announce the selection of two water ski teams – Under 14 and Under 17 – that will represent the United States at the 9th Can Am Challenge, Aug. 26-27, at the Lake of Dreams in Jerseyville, Ill. The event features athletes from the United States and Canada competing for team titles only. The AWSA’s IAC chose the teams based upon a pre-approved selection criteria.

Athletes selected to the 2017 U.S. Under 14 Can Am Water Ski Team were (alphabetical order): James Bryans (Acworth, Ga.), Ayssa Drake (Oconomowoc, Wis.), Allyson Grathwohl (Martindale, Texas), Blaze Grubbs (Rio Linda, Calif.), Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.) and Brody Keller (New Hartford, Conn.). Brooke Boskus (Elkins, Ark.) and Sam Weber (Lincoln, Neb.) were selected alternates.

Athletes selected to the 2017 U.S. Under 17 Can Am Water Ski Team were (alphabetical order): Bailey Grathwohl (Martindale, Texas), Tiana Kosek (Buffalo, Minn.), Blake Keller (New Hartford, Conn.), Garrett Reese (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Will Roberts (Dow, Ill.) and Brett Stackpole (Dow, Ill.). Jonathan Leutz (Jacksonville, Ill.) and Caroline Parker (Martindale, Texas) were selected alternates.

The United States has won the Under 14 and Under 17 team titles at the past five Can Am Challenge events.
