U.S. water ski athlete Freddy Krueger set a pending menís world jumping record of 250 feet (76.3 meters) on Thursday at the Isles Jump Jam 4 at the Isles of Lake Hancock in Winter Garden, Fla. "I knew right away this one was big," said Krueger. "Jump of a lifetime!" To view a video, click here
If approved by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation's Tournament Council, the distance will surpass the current record of 247 feet (75.2 meters) set by Krueger in November 2008 at the McCormick Fall Open in Seffner, Fla.
Krueger is coming off a 2013 season in which he won nine major titles. He started off his 2014 campaign in March by winning the Moomba Masters in Melbourne, Australia, and the IWWF Water Ski World Cup event in Mandurah, Australia.†
