U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team Selected

USA Water Ski is pleased to announce the selection of the 2013 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team. The four-member team, selected by the American Water Ski Association's International Activities Committee, will compete in the 6th Under 21 Water Ski World Championships, Sept. 12-15, at the Isles of Lake Hancock in Winter Garden, Fla.

Athletes selected to the 2013 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team were (alphabetical order): Makayla Haw (Rio Linda, Calif.), Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.), Lauren Morgan (Odessa, Fla.), and Dylan Schaffer (Owens Cross Roads, Ala.).

The team members and alternates were selected based on a performance criteria established the International Activities Committee and approved by the American Water Ski Association board of directors.

Brenda Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.) will be the coach of the U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team, while Jim Grew (Winter Haven, Fla.) will serve as the team manager and Dr. Brent Fulton (Daytona Beach, Fla.) will be the team physician. The United States won the Under 21 world team title in 2003, 2005, 2009 and 2011. France won in 2007.

U.S. athletes who will be competing as independents are: Brooke Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.), Brie Carter (Knoxville, Tenn.), Caroline Cooper (Moneta, Va.), Samantha Dumala (Wellington, Fla.), Taylor Garcia (Winter Garden, Fla.), Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.), Kara MacIntyre (Knoxville, Tenn.), Kevin Malak (Justin, Texas), Zane Nicholson (Gallatin, Tenn.), Tyler Scott (Covington, La.), Nikki Waitt (Clermont, Fla.), K.C. Wilson (Winter Springs, Fla.), Taylor Woolsey (Montverde, Fla.) and Tyler Yager (Shell Beach, Calif.).
