IWWF To Induct Bowness & Lowe

Former U.S. disabled water ski athlete Bill Bowness and former U.S. water ski athlete Lucky Lowe will be among the 2013 inductees into the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federationís International Hall of Fame, the IWWF announced on Sunday. The ceremony will take place at the 2013 Water Ski World Championships in November in San Bernardo, Chile.

Other inductees include Australia's Ron Fergusson (official); Australia's Toni Neville (three-event water ski athlete); and South Africa's Nadine De Villiers (barefoot water ski athlete).

Bowness won nine individual world titles in the multiplegic division beginning in 1987, and was a six-time world record holder and nine-time member of the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team. Lowe was the world slalom champion in 1991 and a medalist in 1985, 1989 and 1993. He was a member of the U.S. Elite Water Ski Team between 1979 and 1985.
