Newby-Ricci Wins Big Dawg No. 4

The fourth stop of the 2013 Nautique Big Dawg World Tour, presented by O’Brien, concluded Sunday in Baurech, France, with Great Britain’s Jeremy Newby-Ricci winning the tournament title. The 2013 Nautique Big Dawg World Tour consists of six events, including the series championship, Aug. 15-16, at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla. Each qualifying event, as well as the series championship, includes two rounds of 34 mph record-capability slalom action, followed by a bracketed 16-skier head-to-head finale.   

Skiers age 35 and older who have not placed in the top 10 of a professional slalom tournament in the past three years are qualified to compete in the Big Dawg World Tour.

Great Britain's Andy Mapple won stop No. 1, Feb. 1-2, in San Bernardo, Chile; U.S. athlete Greg Badal won stop No. 2, March 8-10, in Melbourne, Australia, and stop No. 3, June 29-30, in Canton, Miss. For more information, visit www.nautiquebigdawg.com.
