IWWF Approves Smith's World Record

The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation's Tournament Council has approved U.S. water ski athlete Nate Smith's tie of the men's world slalom record of 2 buoys at 43 feet off. Smith tied the record on June 2 at the 2013 Little Mountain Spring Pro Am 2 in Maiden, N.C.

Smith now shares the world record with fellow U.S. athlete Chris Parrish, who set the original record on June 13, 2010 in Covington, La.
