Smith Ties World Slalom Record

U.S. water ski athlete Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.) tied the men's world slalom record of 2 buoys at 43 feet off on Sunday at the 2013 Little Mountain Spring Pro Am 2 in Maiden, N.C. The score is pending approval by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federationís Technical Committee.

If approved by the IWWF Technical Committee, the score will tie the current world record held by fellow U.S. athlete Chris Parrish (Orlando, Fla.). Parrish set the original record on June 13, 2010 in Covington, La.

The complete scorebook from the Little Mountain Spring Pro Am 2 will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
