Krueger, Jaquess Win Masters' Titles

U.S. water ski athletes Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) won titles in respective events at the 54th Masters Water Ski Tournament, presented by Nautique, May 25-26, on Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga. Athletes competed for titles in slalom, tricks and jumping.

Jaquess set a new women's slalom course record for Robin Lake with a score of 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off, clinching her second consecutive and fourth career Masters' women's slalom title. Krueger soared 231 feet on his first of three jumping attempts in clinching his 11th career Masters' men's jumping title.

In other events, Great Britian's Will Asher won his fifth career Masters' men's slalom, scoring 2 buoys at 41 feet off; Belarus' Aliaksei Aharnasek won his first career Masters' men's tricks title, scoring 11,520 points; France's Iris Cambray won her first career Masters' women's tricks title, scoring 9,340 points; and Australia's Jacinta Carroll won her first career Masters’ women's jumping title, soaring 178 feet.
