U.S. Athletes Win World Cup Titles

U.S. athletes Freddy Krueger, Regina Jaquess and Raimi Merritt won respective titles Sunday at the IWWF Water Ski & Wakeboard World Cup event in Palembang, Indonesia. The world's top water ski (men's and women's slalom and jumping) and wakeboard athletes competed Friday through Sunday.
Krueger won men's jumping with a distance of 209 feet; Jaquess won women's slalom with a score of 2-1/2 buoys at 35 feet off; and Merritt won women's wakeboarding with a score of 67.00 points at the final World Cup stop of 2012.
In other events, Great Britain's Will Asher won men's slalom, scoring 5 buoys at 38 feet off; France's Marion Mathieu won women's jumping with a distance of 158 feet; and Australia's Harley Clifford won men's wakeboarding with a score of 82.00 points.
