The 2012 schedule consisted of six events, including the series championship. Each qualifying event, as well as the series championship, included two rounds of 34 mph record-capability slalom action, followed by a bracketed 16-skier head-to-head finale.
France's Thierry Malhomme won the opening stop on March 12 in Melbourne, Australia; Canada's David Miller won the second stop on April 1 in Bujama Lacus, Peru; U.S. athlete Chad Scott (Covington, La.) won the third stop on July 1 in Cypress, Texas; Mapple won the fourth stop on July 8 in Baruech, France; and Ristorcelli won the fifth stop on July 15 in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Skiers age 35 and older who have not placed in the top 10 of a professional slalom tournament in the past three years are qualified to compete in the Big Dawg World Tour.
