U13 Pan Am Water Ski Team Selected

The American Water Ski Associationís International Activities Committee has announced the selection of the U.S. Under 13 Water Ski Team that will compete in the 2012 Malibu Pan American Water Ski Championships, Sept. 12-15, in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Athletes selected to the Under 13 Pan American Water Ski Team were: Brooke Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.), Ryan Canepa (Mill Valley, Calif.), Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Quinn Haines (Avon, Conn.). Kristen Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.) and Ryan Warner (Dallas, Texas) were selected as the alternates. Selections were based on the AWSA's national rankings' list as of seven weeks before the start of the Malibu Pan American Water Ski Championships, which features athletes and teams from North, Central and South America.

The U.S. Under 13 Water Ski Team is one of six U.S. teams competing in the Malibu Pan American Water Ski Championships. Elite, 17 to 20, Junior, Veteran 1 and Veteran 2 are the other teams participating. Lori Krueger (Gonzales, La.) and Jeff Surdej (Wilmington, Ill.) will be the coaches; Jim Grew (Winter Haven, Fla.) will serve as the team captain; Bob Schouten (Alexander City, Ala.) is the assistant manager; and Dr. Brad Harman (Cleburne, Texas) is the team physician.
