Can Am Junior, U13 Teams Selected

The American Water Ski Association's International Activities Committee has announced the selection of two water ski teams – Under 13 and Junior – that will represent the United States at the 5th Can Am Challenge, Sept. 1-2, in Jerseyville, Ill. The event features athletes from the United States and Canada competing for team titles only.

Athletes selected to the Junior Can Am Water Ski Team were: Christian DeVito (San Diego, Calif.), Abbi Grathwohl (McQueeney, Texas), Ellie Horton (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Nicholas Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.), Dane Mechler (Loveland, Ohio) and Jaye Morris (San Diego, Calif.). Julianna Boskus (Elkins, Ark.) and Kat Warner (Dallas, Texas) were selected alternates.

Athletes selected to the Under 13 Can Am Water Ski Team were: Brooke Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.), Kristen Baldwin (Windermere, Fla.), Ryan Canepa (Mill Valley, Calif.), Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.), Taylor Grathwohl (McQueeney, Texas) and Quinn Haines (Avon, Conn.). Bailey Grathwohl (McQueeney, Texas) and Ryan Warner (Dallas, Texas) were selected as alternates.

Selections were based on the AWSA’s national rankings’ list (12-month average) as of seven weeks before the start of the Can Am Challenge.
