U.S. Teams, Athletes Shine At Barefoot Worlds

The U.S. Junior Barefoot Water Ski Team and U.S. Senior Barefoot Water Ski Team each won overall team gold medals, the U.S. Elite Barefoot Water Ski Team earned the overall team silver medal, and 13 U.S. athletes combined to earn 33 individual medals, including 11 gold medals, at the 2016 Barefoot Water Ski World Championships, presented by Bank First, Aug. 14-20, at the Blue Moo in Alma Center, Wis.

39 Athletes Win Titles At Barefoot Nationals

Thirty-nine athletes won national titles at the 39th annual Barefoot Water Ski National Championships, Aug. 3-6, at the Blue Moo in Alma Center, Wis. More than 100 barefoot athletes in respective age divisions – ranging from 9 and under to 80 and older – as well as Open Men, Open Women, Open Pro Men, Men’s International and Women’s International competed for titles in wake slalom, tricks and jumping during the four-day event. Athletes competing in two or more events were eligible for the prestigious overall titles.

2016 U.S. Barefoot Water Ski Teams Selected

Keith St. Onge will compete for the U.S. Elite Barefoot Water Ski Team.The American Barefoot Club, a sport discipline organization of USA Water Ski, has announced the selections to the 2016 U.S. Elite, Junior and Senior Barefoot Water Ski Teams that will compete in the 2016 Barefoot Water Ski World Championships, Aug. 14-20, at the Blue Moo in Alma Center, Wis.

Impressive Skiing At Annual Barefoot Event

Don Simon makes his start at the annual Lake Norman New Year's Day Barefoot Tournament on Jan. 1.Calm wind, mild temperatures and an enthusiastic crowd helped 30 contestants perform impressive performances at the 38th annual Lake Norman New Year’s Day Barefoot Tournament held at Lake Norman Marina in Sherrills Ford, N.C. Contestants from age 9 to 75 challenged the grueling circle course scoring points by the degree of difficulty of their start, tricks and one point per second that they stayed on their bare feet.
