U.S. Teams Earn Medals At Ski Racing Worlds

U.S. water ski racing athlete Todd Haig earned the bronze medal in Formula 1 Men.The U.S. Formula 1 (Elite) Water Ski Racing Team earned the silver medal and the U.S. Formula 2 Water Ski Racing Team earned the bronze medal at the 19th Water Ski Racing World Championships, April 11-18, in Wellington, New Zealand. The U.S. Formula 1 Water Ski Racing Team and the U.S. Formula 2 Water Ski Racing Team participated in the biennial event that included four rounds of competition.

NWSRA Honors Cheryl Ruston & Todd Haig

Cheryl Ruston was selected the National Water Ski Racing Association's Female Athlete of the Year.The National Water Ski Racing Association recently announced its 2014 award recipients. They will be honored at the USA Water Ski awards reception on Saturday, Jan. 24, at USA Water Ski headquarters in Polk City, Fla. Cheryl Ruston (La Palma, Calif.) has been selected Female Athlete of the Year, while Todd Haig (Redlands, Calif.) was named Male Athlete of the Year.
