Amanda Hoffman, 1989-2013

Amanda Hoffman, who was critically injured after she and two other Texas A&M water ski team members were involved in a traffic crash in Mississippi last month as they drove to the Collegiate All-Stars Water Ski Championships, lost her fight for life on Thursday, according to the Facebook page created to provide updates on her condition.

Eastern Region Wins NCWSA All-Stars

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association’s Eastern Region won the coveted team title at the 19th Collegiate All-Stars Water Ski Championships on Sunday at Beaver Lake in Ahoskie, N.C. The two-day event included the top-10 men and top-10 women from each of the National Collegiate Water Ski Association's four regions vying for the coveted regional team title and individual titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall. ULM Wins Collegiate Nationals

The University of Louisiana-Monroe water ski team won the Division 1 national title at the 34th Collegiate Water Ski National Championships, Oct. 18-20, at Tri-Lakes in Zachary, La. The Warhawks tallied 12,475 points in winning their second consecutive national title and 24th title in the history of the event. The University of Louisiana-Lafayette finished second, scoring 11,585 points.
