WSF Offering Travel & Training Fund

The Women's Sports Foundation has announced that the 2016 Travel & Training Fund application is now available. The deadline to apply is March 11, 2016. The goal of the fund is to provide direct financial assistance to aspiring female athletes with successful competitive records who have the potential to achieve even higher performance levels and rankings with the help of the Women's Sports Foundation. U.S. water ski athletes are encouraged to apply.

Boat Insurance Requirements Update

There has been a very favorable change to the USA Water Ski General Liability Insurance Policy for all boats being used at sanctioned activities. Please refer to the Boat Insurance Requirements (PDF) on the USA Water Ski website for the entire document. The change is the following and provides an additional coverage benefit for all boats being used at sanctioned events.

Board Approves 2016 Budget, Officers

The USA Water Ski board of directors held its annual meeting on Sunday, Jan. 31, at USA Water Ski headquarters in Polk City, Fla. Among the items approved by the board: the slate of officers for 2016-2017 – Doug Robbins, chairman of the board; Jim Grew, president; Dale Stevens, vice president; and Tim Cullen, secretary/treasurer.

USA-WS To Host Annual Awards Banquet

USA Water Ski will hold its annual Awards Banquet – honoring the 2015 award recipients from USA Water Ski and its respective sport discipline organizations on Saturday at the Lake Eva Banquet Hall in Haines City, Fla. The event will be held in conjunction with USA Water Ski's mid-winter board meeting (scheduled for Sunday at 8 a.m. EST) for the 16th consecutive year. The award winners were selected either by the USA Water Ski Awards Committee or by the sport discipline's organization.

Membership Contest Winners Announced

USA Water Ski is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Membership & Club Growth Challenge Initiatives Contest. The contest encouraged the USA Water Ski membership and sport discipline organizations to get more people on the water and affiliate with USA Water Ski.

Three U.S. Athletes Earn IWWF Honors

Regina JaquessThe International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation has announced that U.S. athletes Meagan Ethell (IWWF Female Wakeboard Rider of the Year), Regina Jaquess (IWWF Female Water Ski Athlete of the Year) and Connor Poggetto (IWWF Male Disabled Water Ski Athlete of the Year) have been selected 2015 Athletes of the Year for their respective sport disciplines. The U.S. athletes will now be candidates – along with nine other athletes from the around world – for the IWWF’s 2015 Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards among all sport disciplines.
