Club Challenge Contest Winners Announced

USA Water Ski is pleased to announce the winners of the 2016 Club Growth Challenge Initiatives Contest. The contest encouraged the USA Water Ski membership and sport discipline organizations to get more people on the water and affiliate with USA Water Ski.

Athletes, Team of the Year Selected

Anna Gay was selected Female Athlete of the Year for USA Water Ski and the American Water Ski Association.USA Water Ski and its respective sport discipline organizations are pleased to announce award recipients for 2016. Dane Mechler (Loveland, Ohio) and Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.) have been selected USA Water Ski's 2016 Male Athlete of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year, respectively. The U.S. 35+ Water Ski World Championships Team earned USA Water Ski's 2016 Team of the Year honors. The award recipients will be honored at USA Water Ski's annual awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Fla. The reception, which celebrates the 2016 water ski season, will be held in conjunction with USA Water Ski's mid-winter board meetings for the 17th consecutive year.

Foundation Announces 2017 AOD Recipients

The USA Water Ski Foundation's Hall of Fame Selection Committee has announced the 2017 Water Ski Hall of Fame Award of Distinction recipients. Ralph Armstrong, Nick Barron, Rob Bemman, Joy Kelley and Gary Thompson will be honored for their extraordinary contributions to our sport on April 29 at the Water Ski Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, which will be held in Orlando, Fla., at Walt Disney's World Show Place Pavilion at Epcot. They will be honored along with 2017 Hall of Fame inductees Brenda Nichols-Baldwin and Rachael George-Normand.

Foundation Announces 2017 HOF Inductees

The USA Water Ski Foundation has announced that Brenda Nichols-Baldwin and Rachel George-Normand will be enshrined into the Water Ski Hall of Fame as the Class of 2017. The foundation’s 35th annual induction ceremony will be held on April 29, 2017 at Walt Disney’s Showplace Pavilion at Epcot Theme Park in Orlando, Fla.
